It’s been a year.

Since 2022, I’ve gotten off drugs, graduated from therapy, moved to a completely new part of the country, started a Substack and taken it paid, written a novel (The God of Death and Second Chances is finished; the conclusion drops Wednesday), adopted a dog, restored a vintage truck, launched the Tonic Masculinity Project, and solved that pesky world peace thing

.

I gotta be honest with you, kids. Your old pal Rollins is wiped.

As such, I’m taking a break. Pancho and I are gonna go find the treasure of El Dorado. Assuming we maintain our current rate of speed, it should take about a month (give or take); we’ll be back after with some Exciting News.

Dance Class will continue while I’m out of the office. I have one in the pipe for Sunday, and there will be guest posts on the topic of Tonic Masculinity later in the month from other Substackers who have offered to help out.

Also:

The legendary

Chuck Palahniuk
(author of Fight Club) will be cutting Chapter 19 of my novel

to pieces on his blog at some point as part of his ongoing Gloves Off critique series. I will post a link when that drops.

Rollins out.

Admittedly, that one wasn’t all me. The other Avengers helped.

Granted, it’s anyone’s guess if McCrae or Miga will ever actually send me anything. Fucking slackers, the both of them.

That’d be the maximally creepy chapter, the one in which the character “Danny” has a Very, Very Bad Day. Never forget, The God of Death and Second Chances is as much a horror novel as it is an action-adventure one. (Honestly, it’s probably closer to 65/35.)

I have been mulling over a Dance Class entry too. It might not be words though, depending on how much effort this slacker puts into it...
