People take on social roles in a group; there are characteristic archetypes, and the roles we assume map to archetypes which resonate with our nature. Among the Neo-Gonzos,’s role is Papa Bear.
“The Hearth and the Wild Wood” is Papa Bear’s take on Tonic Masculinity, told using the language of Kenneth Graheme’s The Wind in The Willows. It is share-worthy, to say the least. In fact, I’d go further; it is a classic that every parent should read.
