Milo is a troubleshooter and senior instructor at Miskatonic University with a background in thaumaturgy and conjuration. Fairfax is an Atomic Schnauzer. They hunt monsters.

And there are plenty out there. Goblins. Gremlins. Blood demons geas-bound to fireplaces and faeries out for blood. Dragons on asteroids made of solid gold and cultists in dive bars run by ghouls, spread across numerous planets and near-infinite variations of Earth.

But when someone springs the Ancient Ones Who Lie Beneath from Miskatonic’s Museum of Strange and Terrible Manifestations, Milo and Fairfax find themselves faced with a danger they never imagined: Lucien Murdock. The best troubleshooter Miskatonic University ever produced. Milo’s best friend.

The man who betrayed them all. The man Milo sent to prison.

Now Milo and Fairfax are making their way through the most horrific creatures the universe has ever spawned in search of the answers behind Lucien’s spree of terror. But in this multiverse of vampire baristas and shark attorneys and werewolf tattooists and monk resurrectionists, there remains one creature who scares Milo like no other.

The monster who destroyed Earth Prime ten years ago. The one Milo, Lucien, and all the other troubleshooters locked away in a prison from which she could never escape. Unless, of course, she already has . . .
